USBC Open Registration

To be eligible to compete at the 2009 US Barista Championship, registrants must have competed at least once at a USBC sanctioned Barista Competition after May 3, 2007 (any USBC Sanctioned Regional Barista Competition, the 2007, or 2008 USBC). Out-of-region participation in that period does fulfill eligibility. The Registration Fee is $53.00.

Open Registration began at 3:00 PM PST on Wednesday, February 4, 2009.

Open Registrants will be confirmed on a first come, first serve basis (payment will not be processed until your registration is confirmed), with any excess registrations to be placed on a waiting list. Those on the waiting list will be automatically registered as unclaimed spots for upcoming 2008-2009 Regional Competitions are released according to the schedule above.

A maximum of two competitors per company may register under Open Registrations until February 16, 2009 (17 days before the commencement of the 2009 USBC). At 3:00 PM PST on Monday, February 16, 2009, additional competitors may register. Registrations will be conducted in accordance with the 2009 USBC Rules & Regulations section 2.1.3. Regional Champion and/or Regional Finalists do not count toward the "two per company" rule (i.e., you can register two per company regardless of whether you have Regional Champions or Finalists registered).

NOTE: REGISTRATIONS SUBMITTED BEFORE THE TIME AND DATE SPECIFIED WILL BE VOIDED AND NOT BE PROCESSED!

We are expecting registrations to fill-up for this year's USBC, so it is important that you register as early as possible (according to the schedule indicated) in order to have the best chance to secure your registration.
